Cattery Menu:
We choose to feed our guests a premium quality dried food that we believe provides all the nutrients your cat requires.
Black Hawk Natural Pet Food made in Australia is about naturally nourishing pets from the inside out.
Made with real meat and veggies, with no fillers or nasties, we offer a choice of four delicious flavours for our feline guests, including two grain free options.
There is also a blackboard menu of various wet foods for the fussiest of eaters, e.g. fresh beef, veal, tuna, fish and various brands of canned jellimeat………..no one goes hungry at Ashley Boarding Cattery.
Please Note: If your cat is on a Veterinary prescribed diet, you will need to provide your own food. We do not offer any discount if you provide your own food.
Cattery Lodgings:
Our smaller boutique cattery comprises only 18 units – 4 indoor single units, 6 indoor/outdoor single units & 8 indoor/outdoor double family units. The outdoor units are north facing and very spacious. All buildings are fully heated and insulated for winter warmth. Situated within a magnificent garden setting, there is plenty of sunshine and airy ventilation in summer. We provide individual units, rather than communal living, which we believe reduces any risk of cross-infection. Your cat can snuggle in to his or her bed, with covered extra thick duvet inners, with fleece blankets provided in winter. Cat baskets and scratch pads are also provided. Your cat’s comfort is important to us, and so is his/her security. All cattery buildings have smoke and heat detectors which are linked to the properties residence and monitored 24 hrs per day by Code 9 Security. And while the cattery buildings are located very close to the owner’s residence, additional security cameras around the property provide extra piece of mind.
Ashley Boarding Cattery Care:
Although our cattery can never be home, on-site owners Donna & Steve, will go the extra mile for you and your feline friends. Cats love to play, so we include various toys in each of our units. Not too many, just enough to give your cat some extra textures, sounds and shapes to keep them stimulated. We service each cats unit a minimum of three times per day. If your cat is used to daily grooming we will happily oblige. Daily cuddles and affection also come standard, and soothing background music helps calm nervous clients. Young kittens and elderly cats that need to be frequently monitored are specially catered for. All special needs, diet and health issues can be accommodated. We will happily administer any medication your cat requires during their stay with us whether it be temporary or part of an on-going regime. There is no additional charge for us to administer and monitor medications. We have a comfortable isolation unit available should the need arise and we can also arrange vet visits for any of our feline guests. Our cattery has access to a local Vet who is on-call for the cattery 24 hours 7 days. This essential service is provided to us by PAWS at Woodend.
Cat Health:
Vaccinations must be administered at least 10 days prior to check-in. Every cat needs to be vaccinated against the 3 core diseases – feline panleucopaenia (infectious enteritis), feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus (both causes of “cat flu”). We must site your vaccination card prior to admitting your cat into the cattery.
Please ensure your cat is free of fleas and worms. Should the need arise to treat your cat for either of these parasites, you will incur a $20.00 charge. NOTE: Please do not use a flea collar. Use a reputable product such as Frontline, Advantage, Broadline or Revolution only.

Opening Hours:
Our cattery is open for check-in, check-out or viewing; between the hours of 9am – 11am & 4pm – 6pm Monday to Friday; 9am – 11am Saturday & 4pm – 6pm on Sunday. ie we close at 11am Saturday and re open 4pm Sunday. Other times strictly by arrangement. (We are closed Xmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday).
A surcharge of $50 will apply to all out of hours pickups or drop-offs whether pre-arranged or not. No exceptions.
Please read our Terms & Conditions before dropping off your cat. A signed acceptance of our Terms & Conditions (click to view) is a pre-requisite of admittance.
Boarding Charges :
(Daily, GST Inclusive) We ask that you Internet Bank your boarding charges prior to collecting your cat.

Charges are on a per calendar day basis and must be paid at time of collection. Long-term stays require a 50% deposit. We

Please note the following:
A minimum charge of $40.00 for an indoor unit applies or $65 for an outdoor unit.
Charges to be paid in full upon collection. We accept Internet Banking, or cash.
There is NO surcharge for Statutory holidays.
Your unit is booked and paid for the entire day regardless of when it is occupied by your feline friend on the day of arrival. Our fees are based on a daily charge, therefore any part of any calendar day that your cat is in residence will incur the daily charge.
Flea Treatment:

Medication charge:
We DO NOT charge to administer medications.
